There are nine known Freemasons who were signers of the Declaration of Independence: Benjamin Franklin,.John Hancock,Thomas McKean, Joseph Hewes, William Hooper, Robert Treat Paine, George Walton, Richard Stockton, and Lyman Hall
There were also 18 others who were suspected of being Freemasons based on circumstantial evidence. Not bad for a group of 56 enlightened men.
